Description

Oven-Baked Fries with Special Sauce is a delicious and healthier alternative to traditional fried potatoes, served with a unique and flavorful dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  6. While the fries are baking, prepare the special sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce in a bowl.
  7. Once the fries are done, serve them hot with the special sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking.
  • Feel free to adjust the spices in the fries to your taste.
  • The special sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
