- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- While the fries are baking, prepare the special sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce in a bowl.
- Once the fries are done, serve them hot with the special sauce on the side.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking.
- Feel free to adjust the spices in the fries to your taste.
- The special sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
