Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups fresh peaches, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped peaches and sugar. Let it sit for about 30 minutes to allow the peaches to release their juices.
- Add the lemon juice to the peach mixture and stir well.
- Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until it comes to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the mixture thickens to your desired consistency.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before transferring to sterilized jars.
- Allow the jam to cool completely before sealing the jars and storing them in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Make sure to use ripe peaches for the best flavor.
- This jam can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- For a thicker jam, cook it a little longer.
