Description

A festive and delicious Red White & Blue Poke Cake perfect for celebrating patriotic holidays.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of white cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup strawberry Jell-O
  • 1 cup blue raspberry Jell-O
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • Fresh strawberries, for garnish
  • Fresh blueberries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions.
  2. Prepare the white cake mix as directed on the box, adding eggs and water.
  3. Bake the cake in a 9×13 inch pan until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes, then poke holes all over the top with a fork.
  5. Mix the strawberry Jell-O with 1 cup of boiling water until dissolved, then pour over the cake.
  6. Repeat with the blue raspberry Jell-O, pouring it over the cake as well.
  7. Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
  8. Spread whipped topping over the cake before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh strawberries and blueberries.

  • For best results, use fresh fruit for garnish.
