- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 package of frozen hash browns (30 ounces)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with the cooked sausage until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the sausage and cream cheese mixture to the egg mixture and stir until combined.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the frozen hash browns evenly on the bottom.
- Pour the sausage and egg mixture over the hash browns, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for extra flavor.
- This casserole can be prepared the night before and baked in the morning.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
