A delightful and creamy coconut-based drink from Puerto Rico, perfect for the holiday season or any festive occasion.
Ingredients

- 1 can (14 oz) of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (13.5 oz) of coconut milk
- 1 can (12 oz) of evaporated milk
- 1 cup of white rum
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup of shredded coconut (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, evaporated milk, white rum, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
- Blend on high speed until all ingredients are well combined and smooth.
- If desired, add shredded coconut and pulse a few times to incorporate.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or spice levels as needed.
- Pour the coquito into bottles and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Serve chilled, garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon or additional shredded coconut if desired.
Notes
- Coquito can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum.
- Shake well before serving as ingredients may separate over time.
