Description

Delicious smash burger sliders topped with sweet caramelized onions, perfect for your backyard BBQ.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 slider buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Cheese slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the sliced onions.
  2. Cook the onions, stirring occasionally, until they are caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. While the onions are cooking, form the ground beef into small balls.
  4. In a separate skillet, heat over medium-high heat and place the beef balls in the skillet.
  5. Smash the beef balls down with a spatula to form patties and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and add cheese if desired.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the burgers are cooked through.
  8. Assemble the sliders by placing the patties on the buns and topping with caramelized onions.
