- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 taco shells
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Form the ground beef into small balls and place them in the skillet.
- Smash the beef balls down with a spatula to form patties.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- In the last minute of cooking, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top of the patties to melt.
- Warm the taco shells in a separate pan or microwave.
- Assemble the tacos by placing the smashed burger patties in the taco shells.
