Description

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs beef brisket
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to create the BBQ sauce.
  3. Rub the brisket with salt and pepper, then place it in the smoker.
  4. Smoke the brisket for about 6-8 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C).
  5. During the last hour of smoking, brush the brisket with the BBQ sauce.
  6. Remove the brisket from the smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
