Ingredients

- 4 ripe tomatoes
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1–2 jalapeños, to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 lime, juiced
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Roast the tomatoes, onion, and jalapeños on a grill or in a broiler until charred.
- Let the roasted ingredients cool slightly.
- In a blender, combine the roasted ingredients, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, and salt.
- Blend until smooth or to your desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite dishes.
Notes
- For a spicier salsa, leave the seeds in the jalapeños.
- This salsa can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- Feel free to add other ingredients like avocado or corn for variation.
