Description

Strawberry Basil Lemonade is a refreshing spring drink that combines the sweetness of strawberries with the aromatic flavor of basil, making it a perfect thirst-quencher for warm days.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the strawberries and basil leaves. Blend until smooth.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry-basil mixture, lemon juice, and the sugar syrup.
  4. Add the remaining 3 cups of water to the pitcher and stir well.
  5. Serve over ice and garnish with additional basil leaves or strawberry slices if desired.

Notes

  • For a less sweet version, reduce the amount of sugar.
  • This drink can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
