Description

Delicious and easy-to-make strawberry shortcake jars layered with fresh berries and whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup shortcake or pound cake, crumbled

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries with a tablespoon of sugar and let them sit for 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. In jars, layer the crumbled shortcake, followed by a layer of strawberries, and then a layer of whipped cream.
  4. Repeat the layers until the jars are filled, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  5. Garnish with additional strawberries if desired and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can use Greek yogurt instead of whipped cream.
  • Feel free to substitute strawberries with other berries like blueberries or raspberries.
