Description

A delicious and visually appealing Strawberry Shortcake Trifle that serves 12, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pound pound cake, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries and granulated sugar. Let sit for 30 minutes to macerate.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  3. In a large trifle dish, layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom.
  4. Add half of the macerated strawberries over the pound cake.
  5. Spread half of the whipped cream over the strawberries.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining pound cake, strawberries, and whipped cream.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
