Description

A delicious and moist Tres Leches Berry Sheet Cake soaked in three types of milk, topped with fresh berries and whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a sheet pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with whole milk.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Once baked, let the cake cool completely.
  8. In a separate bowl, mix the evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk.
  9. Poke holes in the cooled cake and pour the milk mixture over it, allowing it to soak.
  10. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form and spread it over the soaked cake.
  11. Top with fresh mixed berries before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, let the cake sit in the fridge for a few hours or overnight to absorb the milk.
  • Feel free to use any combination of berries you prefer.
  • This cake can be made a day in advance for convenience.
